Much more than creating new objects, the design must be concerned with the negative impacts of existing objects in order to prevent them from continuing to cause harm to society. Designers can innovate by designing a reverse design model that motivates them to dedicate themselves to (de)conceiving products that no longer make, for some reason, more sense to exist. The Undobject was an artistic proposal created for the collective publication “manuals that (un)explain”. It aims to invite designers to reflect on the real needs of creating new objects, as well as to inspire creative processes to remove those that harm nature and humanity from circulation.
